About
I started blogging when I was living outside Fort Worth, Texas in the 1950s. Of course back then we didn’t call it blogging. We referred to this as “beating the dead armadillo with mom’s apple pie”. Which, of course, was a euphemism for “writing worthless, random crap down in case someday somebody invents some sort of something that can somehow summon some means of making this information available to everyone the world over… Or at least to someone somewhere else.”
Since the “floating fifties” and warm-fruit roadkill, the blog has (d)evolved a myriad times over and now is what it is. Much like popeye, but with fewer tattoos (and ironically much more spinach). The nice thing about the living internet is that tomorrow I may not be able to make the same statement with a straight face. And the nice thing about my lifestyle is that tomorrow I may not be able to make the same statement with a face at all. Life is like a box of “you never know what you’re going to get”.
